Frequently Asked Questions
Planning your wedding stationery should feel exciting, not overwhelming. Below you'll find answers to the questions I hear most often about custom wedding invitations, hand-drawn illustrations, letterpress and foil printing, wedding calligraphy, day-of stationery, logo design, and working with clients in Nashville and across the United States.

For custom wedding invitations designed by Fanciful Ink Design, I recommend beginning the design process 5–6 months before your wedding date. This allows time for design development, revisions, printing, and addressing. Save-the-dates should go out 6–9 months in advance, particularly for destination weddings or international guests. Rush fees for both design and printing are available if needed.

A full suite typically includes the invitation, details card, RSVP card, and mailing envelopes. Additional pieces like Save the Dates, ceremony programs, menus, seating cards, and signage can be added. Every piece is designed to complement your wedding aesthetic, ensuring your invitation suite, day-of stationery, and wedding signage tell one cohesive story. Every piece is priced individually based on your needs.

Letterpress creates a beautifully debossed impression on luxurious cotton paper and is perfect for timeless, heirloom wedding invitations. Foil stamping adds metallic shine in gold, silver, rose gold, or other finishes. Digital printing produces exceptional color accuracy and intricate detail, making it ideal for illustrated wedding invitations. I'll recommend the printing process that best suits your artwork, budget, and desired finish.

Yes. Hand calligraphy envelope addressing is available as a standalone service or as an add-on to a stationery suite. Hand-addressed envelopes create a memorable first impression and beautifully complement luxury wedding invitations. I also offer guest addressing, return addressing, and coordinating calligraphy details throughout your wedding stationery.

We begin with a design consultation either in person in Nashville or virtually to understand your vision, venue, color palette, and aesthetic. From there I develop original artwork, illustration and design concepts for your review. Proofing, printing, assembly and delivery is part of the process as well. Most suites take 6–8 weeks from design approval to delivery.
